We are a non-profit education agency partnering wtih a working farm to teach the Louisville community about the processes and products of organic and local agriculture. Our mission is to increase agricultural awareness in the community of Louisville, enabling people to identify their role and responsibility in the food system. We provide hands-on agricultural education on the farm for student pre-k through adult as well as professional development for educators. We can also bring educational programs to your school or other location, especially during winter. Our inquiry-based approach to teaching emphasizes real experience, and participants are encouraged to use all their senses to explore the farm. All programs support the guidelines set forth by the Kentucky Department of Education and can meet curricular goals for Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Practical Living.
