We sell native plants and seeds for back yard gardens and for larger restoration projects. The use of native plants in the landscape can promote healthy populations of birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Native plants are adapted to this area, and require less inputs of fertilizer, pesticide, and water.

Hotter Times Landscaping
This is a small scale Native Landscaping Service that specializes in the development of landscaping which utilizes predominantly species and cultivars which are native to kentucky. Permaculture and extensive knowledge of the regions ecology as well as upwards of 10 years experience landscaping are employed. Phoenix Hill Farmers' Market
We are one of the newest farmers' markets in Louisville and are a member of Kentucky Proud. Our opening day is Tuesday April 24 and we will be open every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. from 4/24 to 10/30/07. Our vendors will be selling vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs, baked goods, plants and cut flowers.

St. Peter Claver Community Garden
ACTIVE Louisville collaborated with the Louisville Metro Housing Authority, the Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD), the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service, the Presbyterian Community Center, and several Louisville Metro Government departments to develop a community and educational garden on the grounds of the St. Peter Claver Community Center in the heart of the Smoketown Neighborhood. The first seeds were planted this spring in plots adopted by community members, the Presbyterian Child Development Center, Meyzeek Middle School, the Presbyterian Community Center and Bates Memorial Baptist Church. Community garden plots are available for the use of neighborhood residents, and community groups are welcome to explore programming opportunities with us.
